Electric company car fleets are not only the future, but also the present. Sustainability goals, lower operating costs and tax incentives are driving more and more companies to switch to electric vehicles. But what happens when you have ten, twenty or even dozens of cars that need to be charged regularly?
The answer: a well-designed charging infrastructure. A single socket in the corner of a parking lot is not enough – a medium-sized fleet needs a more serious system that:
- allows multiple simultaneous charging,
- dynamically distributes the network load,
- and is easy to administer.
Smart charging systems allow fleet managers to accurately track consumption, control who can charge when and how much, and even assign energy usage to cost centers.
Charging near the office is convenient, but it is also worth considering supporting home charging. More and more companies are installing home chargers for employees or reimbursing the electricity costs for home charging. This not only makes the use of electric cars more flexible, but also reduces the capacity requirements for charging at work.
