Product description

Charge Amps Amp Guard is the brain of the charging process: it monitors the energy consumption of the property in real time and adjusts the car charging performance accordingly. This not only maximizes the charging speed, but also prevents overloading, so that expensive network expansion is not necessary. With the Green Charging function, the system is able to prioritize the energy generated by solar panels, reducing the amount of electricity taken from the grid and costs.

Installation is quick and easy. The device requires two DIN slots in the distribution cabinet, one for the main unit and one for the power supply. There is no need for separate wiring between the charger and the energy meter, as Amp Guard connects wirelessly to the charger and settings can be made on the Charge Amps Cloud interface. The system can be easily expanded to include multiple chargers, so a single Amp Guard can control the dynamic load distribution of an entire charging park.

Compatible with Charge Amps Dawn, Aura and Halo chargers, Amp Guard also works with the Charge Amps mobile app, which provides Green Charging and user settings. The device has a clean design and small footprint, making it ideal for both residential and small business use.

What is load management?

By continuously measuring consumption, the EV charger automatically adapts to the available free capacity (dynamic load balancing). This avoids overloads and tripping, keeps the network stable, allows priorities to be set, and distributes the available energy as efficiently as possible.

Who do we recommend it to?

Load management can avoid or postpone costly network expansion in most cases, while ensuring secure, scalable and cost-effective operation. We recommend it for homeowners, apartment buildings, office buildings, parking lots and fleets where multiple chargers or large consumers run in parallel — especially with solar systems.
